Measures in place across the Newdegate Machinery Field Days site
Contact Tracing;
SafeWA app contact tracing will be used at the event and every person entering the site will be required to log in each day. Please encourage all personnel to have the app operating on their phone. Any person unable to access the technology will be required to submit their information at the office for manual recording during bump-in and bump-out or at the gate of entrance. Contact tracing information will also be collected through ticket purchase.
COVID Marshal;
COVID marshals will be used across the event to promote the COVID safe measures in the COVID plan. Approximately 10 COVID marshals will be in venue at any one time. A distinctive uniform (high visibility green vest) will be worn to identify COVID marshal staff to patrons, other services, and authorised officers.
First Aid;
First Aid Event first aid service will continue to deliver first aid to patrons, as well as provide guidance to event staff on managing suspected COVID-19 cases. First aid personnel know protocols for when and how to notify health authorities of issues or suspected COVID-19 cases, (contacting the COVID-19 Public Hotline on 13 COVID). All first aid personnel complete training to identify and manage potential COVID-19 patients. Processes to screen / triage people presenting with COVID-19 like symptoms separate to other attendees presenting for in-event first aid care.
Cleaning;
Cleaners from the Shire of Lake Grace will be allocated to maintain hygiene and cleaning regimes in shared use areas which include toilets, dining, displays and bars. Management of suspected cases If staff or volunteers are aware that someone with a case of COVID-19 has been in the workplace, the COVID-19 Public Hotline on 13COVID (13 26843) should be contacted and follow the advice of public health officials. If there is concern that a person is not adhering to quarantine requirements, staff should contact 13 COVID. If someone is a suspected case of COVID-19, the event manager or first aid should be informed immediately. The manager will:
• maintain direct communication with first aid and security,
• call the state public health unit by contacting the COVID-19 Public Hotline on 13 COVID and follow their advice,
• ensure they wear adequate PPE if engaging with attendees with possible COVID-19 symptoms.
